Durham Kilimanjaro Challenge

This summer a group of daring Durham University students will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro – the world’s tallest free standing mountain! This is all in the name of charity, providing clean water to thousands of people. And guess what, YOU can be there!

Mount Kilimanjaro is one of the most impressive sights in Africa and climbing it is one of the all-time great achievements. It’s the largest freestanding mountain in the world and the trek encompasses terrains from jungle to glacier. Reaching the summit and watching the sun rise over the vast African plains truly is the experience of a lifetime. This is an opportunity not to miss!

The fundraising challenge is in aid of Dig Deep – a small charity founded by student volunteers which works with communities in Kenya to break the cycle of poverty through water and sanitation.

Eve Smith, 2nd Year Criminology student is organising this once in a lifetime adventure and is still looking for a group of committed students to take on the fundraising challenge. If you are interested, email Eve at Be quick – the application window will only be open until November 13th – so get signed up if you don’t want to miss out!
